Hotel Sierra Arenal La Fortuna, La Fortuna

We had a lovely stay at this hotel with stunning views of the Arenal volcano. The rooms were quite nice and comfortable for the price, and the communal kitchen was a great touch. However, we were surprised to learn that the original hotel had merged with a hostel, which was a bit inconvenient. Overall, it provided good value for the money.

The outdoor kitchen was a standout feature, fully equipped for self-catering and even included breakfast staples. However, our experience was marred a bit when we arrived to find that the hotel had merged operations with a nearby backpackers' resort, which left us with limited room options. Overall, despite the hiccup at check-in, the refreshing amenities and inviting atmosphere made it a worthwhile stay.
